So, I’m finishing up week three of this hybrid. I have to say that I was feeling really gassed most of the week. These
Insanity Max routines really drain me, but I am seeing improvement in both my appearance and performance, so it’s definitely worth the effort. I am seriously looking forward to my recovery week before continuing on my fitness journey with the next hybrid.
I’m going to change the diet back to the
P90X phase 1 ratios of 50% protein, 30% carbs, and 20% fat. I’m looking to build some muscle this round while continuing to lower the body fat.
Other changes for this round are the inclusion of P90X
Recovery and Results formula after workouts, and P90X
peak health multi-vitamin packs. I used a multi-vitamin and drank a protein shake after workouts in this round, but I still felt exhausted sometimes. The Recovery and Results formula should correct that and the peak health packs will provide the
essential nutrients my body needs for the extreme workouts of this hybrid.
The next hybrid will be more resistance based. It will definitely include
P90X Legs & Back, Chest/ Shoulders/ Triceps, Shoulders & Arms, Ab Ripper X, Yoga X, and will sneak Core Synergistics in there occasionally. I’m probably going to back off the cardio a bit, no
Insanity Max routines, but maybe Plyo Cardio Circuit and Cardio Abs. I will also have Abs/Core plus and Kenpo Plus from P90X Plus scheduled just for a bit of variety.
Instead of having an entire week dedicated to recovery I will have mini-recovery breaks included every other week and only one day of rest this cycle.
